LIDDLE SYNDROME

  • It is a rare hereditary disorder involving increased activity of the epithelial sodium channel (ENaC)
  • Autosomal dominant
FEATURES:


  • Gain salt and water leads to HYPERTENSION
  • Hypokalemic alkalosis
  • HYPERTENSION → Feedback RAAS: ↓Renin,↓Aldosterone (low renin hypertension)
  • Dehydration: absent
TREATMENT:

  • Amiloride
